Materials
- Crayons with the paper taken off
- Paper
- Items from nature: leaves, flower petals, bark
- Man-made items: comb, coins, cut-out paper patterns.
Steps:
- Place your item on a table covered with newspaper.
- Put the paper over the item.
- Using the long side of the crayon rub over the item while holding the paper down. (Facilitators, hold the paper while the child rubs the crayon.)
- Continue until you get the desired color and design.
- Move the item slightly and rub again. Patterns can overlap.
