What You’ll Need
- 1 pkg. whole wheat pitas
- 1 jar tomato basil sauce
- 1 pkg. turkey pepperoni
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1-2 cups shredded cheese
Directions
- Take one pita and cut it carefully with a knife so you split the whole pita in half. You should have two round circles. (teacher to assist)
- Place them on a baking sheet and place in the oven at about 350ºF until a little toasty.
- When you pull out the pitas, turn the oven up to 475ºF. Spread some sauce on each one, sprinkle with spice blend and then add toppings as desired.
- Place back in the oven and cook until cheese is melted and the pizza is cooked to desired liking.
- This lunch has everything you need in it, meat, veggies, dairy, and good carbohydrates.
