Healthy Pita Pizza
What You’ll Need
  • 1 pkg. whole wheat pitas
  • 1 jar tomato basil sauce
  • 1 pkg. turkey pepperoni
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 1-2 cups shredded cheese

Directions
  1. Take one pita and cut it carefully with a knife so you split the whole pita in half. You should have two round circles. (teacher to assist)
  2. Place them on a baking sheet and place in the oven at about 350ºF until a little toasty.
  3. When you pull out the pitas, turn the oven up to 475ºF. Spread some sauce on each one, sprinkle with spice blend and then add toppings as desired.
  4. Place back in the oven and cook until cheese is melted and the pizza is cooked to desired liking.
  5. This lunch has everything you need in it, meat, veggies, dairy, and good carbohydrates.
