Grammar
Noun
A noun is a word used to name a person, animal, place and things. e.g.
The bus inspector looked at all the passengers’ passes.

Pronoun
A pronoun can replace a noun or another pronoun e.g. he, she, you, I, we, they, it. e.g.
We will meet at the library at 3.30pm.
It is on the counter.

Verb
Verb asserts something about the subject of the sentence and express actions and events. e.g.
Dracula bites his victim on the neck.

Simple Close Passage
Activity will need to have helping words so that children will need to fill in the blanks instead of constructing /generating correct word.

Wall Passage
Children to create phrase e.g. This is a _______.
Activity intended for children to reinforce reading
and word recognition through writing.

Sample activities:

Spelling of vocabulary
Teacher to practice children to write words to enrich more vocabulary in the word banks.

Large / Group discussion on food & nutrition
Pair children and provide materials for them to generate ideas to share their knowledge with class on a chosen transportation.

Teacher to initiate ideas and scaffold children to generate knew knowledge. Transfers discussions into writing and display in class or make a school activities and share with friends in school.

Individual activity “Show & Tell”
Child given opportunities to share the knowledge and experiences with friends in a class activity or school activity.

Picture Talk
Encourage children to creatively describe or imagine what they can see in a picture/poster.

Picture Writing
Write story on picture. Allows children to generate new vocab and learn to spell and write a simple creative writing (composition).
