1. Teachers to set up water tub in centre premises.
2. Allow children to play with different types of water transportation (toys) in the tub!
Sandplay
1. Teacher to set up sand pit area/tub in centre premises.
2. Allow children to play with different types of land transportation and create patter with wheels
OR
3. Watch how a toy excavator work to scoop sand!
Outdoor Car Wash
1. Line up bicycles/car push carts etc.
2. Have the children to wash the bicycles and car push carts using soap, towels and sponges!
Direction Scavenger Hunt
1. Blind fold a child, then direct him/her to a direction. Eg. turn left, walk straight 5 steps, turn right etc.
Paper Airplane
1. Let your children make paper airplanes with your class.
2. Then discuss what make them fly.
Red Light/Green Light
1. In this game, one person plays the "stoplight" while the rest try to touch him/her.
2. At the start, all the children form a line about 2 metres (approx 15 feet) away from the stoplight.
3. The stop light faces away from the line of kids and says "green light". At this point the kids are allowed to move towards the stoplight.
4. At any point of time, the stoplight may say "red light!" and turn around. If any of the kids are caught moving after this has occurred, they are out.
5. Play resumes when the stoplight turns back around and says "green light".
6. The stoplight wins if all the kids are out before anyone is able to touch him/her.
7. Otherwise, the first player to touch the stoplight wins the game and earns the right to be the "stoplight" for the next game.
Train Ride
1. Line all of your chairs to create a train (or a bus).
2. Put numbers on all the chairs.
3. Then distribute tickets (with corresponding numbers) to your students.
4. Then you (the engineer) can put on an apron and take their tickets and punch a hole in them and return them.
5. For added emphasis, add extra props (such as suitcase and maps etc).
6. Note: This game can be played for a bus or plane ride.
Ramps
1. Make several ramps of different heights for your children to play with.
2. Ask them which one makes cars go fastest.
3. See if they can tell you why. If not, explain to them why.
Bicycle Ride
1. Allow children to bring their own bicycle or tricycle to school for a day!
Masking Tape Road Maps
1. Let children design their own road by putting pieces of masking tape on the floor to create a road map they can use to drive their cars on.
Field Trips – Safety Park, Police Station, Fire Station, Airport, Bus Depot, Train Station
